Content Item - Homework Club sets a new record!

Rotary Prahran's Homework Club at the Horace Petty Housing Estate in Malvern Road South Yarra grew from one session a week to two last year and now the monday & thursday sessions from 4pm to 5pm are attracting between 17 & 20 primary school children each session!

Some of the Ethiopian & Somali mothers are also staying, some to help, some to watch, some to learn but all very welcome.  Two of the kids who have 'graduated' to high school return regularly, one is special needs & also receives coaching & support, the other sometimes helps hear younger children read, a boost for his confidence & self esteem.
