Rotary is not affiliated with any religion, political party or commercial interest, but is grateful for the support of commercial sponsors in enabling our work.

By building Community Partnerships, the Rotary Club of Prahran can identify projects and areas of need in the community, avoid duplication of services and help with building networks that can assist with youth, vocational and other projects.

Our first Community Partnership project, the "Beginners' Guide to Confronting Homelessness" Forum, brought together the Prahran Mission, Sacred Heart Mission, Salvation Army, Kids Under Cover and the Victoria Police (Prahran station) who all play a large role in supporting homeless people in and around the Stonnington/Prahran area.

By inviting the local community to an information forum, the Rotary Club of Prahran helps to build awareness of the problems and involves community members in working towards a solution.

Rotary Prahran has a strong cooperative partnership with Victoria Police (Prahran), through the VicPol Rotary Mentorship Program (Rotarian Gilly Swinnerton, mentee Sen.Sgt. Martin Bourke), police volunteers at our weekly Homework Club & other activities.
