Homework Club Suspended
Rotary Prahran has run the popular Homework Club for primary school aged children on the Horace Petty (Housing) Estate at 259 Malvern Road South Yarra for over 4 years, until 2020, twice weekly but this year thursday afternoons only between 4 & 5pm.
Children from disadvantaged backgrounds, often refugees from Somalia, Ethiopia & Tibet plus migrants from Asia are helped with reading, comprehension, arithmetic and other skills by Rotary volunteers & senior secondary school students.
