Helping Literacy, one child at a time.
Most Primary schools need assistance in class to help some students reinforce their basic skills in reading and writing so when Toorak Primary asked for help, Prahran Rotarian Ross Liebmann organized a group of helpers, including Peter Schneider, Jan Rosenberg and Lewis Woolf to help him there at various times.The main job was assisting with literacy by listening to individual children read as in many families where both parents work or English is not spoken at home, children miss out on having their parents hear them read and develop their language and literacy skills.
Grades helped with this program were years 2 and 3
