Packing for the Philippines!
A 20" container actually holds a LOT of equipment and books as the Rotary Club of Prahran's volunteers, Graeme Newton, John Harris, Peter Schneider, Michael Morrison and Susie Cole found out on 21st April, when loading hospital beds, wheel chairs, walkers, a dialysis machine & chair and loads of primary school books bound for Lucena City, Quezon, Philippines.
Beds donated by Box Hill Hospital will make life more comfortable for new mums & babies at the Lucena City hospital "Rotary Hall", being established in conjuction with the Rotary Club of Lucena City, RAWCS (Rotary Australia World Community Service) and our Club.
Volunteers at Donations in Kind warehouse loaded & stored the goods, Prahran members packed the container and paid for shipping, the Philippine Rotarians will ensure that all the goods are received, unloaded & put to good use. Another very worthwhile International Project for our Club!
