Meet Scott Schneider and hear about law in outer space!

Scott is Head of Regulations at the Australian rocket company Southern Launch, where his primary role is working with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and the Australian Space Agency in relation to launching rockets and satellites from the company’s two South Australian launch sites.
Scott holds an Advanced Master of Laws in air and space law from the International Institute of Air and Space Law at Leiden University in the Netherlands where his primary research areas were human spaceflight and Australian defence procurement.
He is an adjunct research chair at the International Space University and an external lecturer at the University of Adelaide’s commercial space law masters course. Previously, Scott worked with the Space Industry Association of Australia in identifying and cataloguing Australia's space capabilities and now writes and presents on Australia’s space economy. Scott is an active member of the Space Law Council of Australia and New Zealand and is chair of the ISU Adelaide Conference, which seeks to promote the use of space to the general public and bring domestic projects to the international market.
